Your conference special photography session

Thank you so much for choosing to book your session with me!

Here’s a bit of information on what to expect.

Feel free to reach out to me via Facebook Messenger to ask me any questions you may have.

I’m excited to capture you at the conference! What makes my photography unique is because it a completely custom experience that not only provides you with the content and brand images you’re looking for, it also captures who you are at that point in time. I have a photojournalistic style and like to document who you are, not just what you’re doing. Yes, I will get those quintessential photographs that you expect; however, you’re also going to receive candid images of you during our session. Whether you’re speaking at the conference or attending it, my goal is to elevate your conference experience and give you incredible photographs for you to remember your time at the event.

Here are a few tips to help you get ready for your session:

Speaker Stage Sessions: If you’re a speaker, I will be at your session ready when I arrive. My intention is to take photos of you before, during, and after you’re on stage. During your stage time, my camera will be set to silent. You will not hear a shutter sound. More often than not, I do not require the use of a flash in low-light situations; however, should lighting conditions require me to use my flash, I will attempt to do so in a way that isn’t overly distracting to you.

Locations: I do a fair amount of location scouting prior to the event and I will have a few locations in mind for your session. I am open to new locations, if you have a preference; however, I must ask that we remain within a short walk of the event location as I may have other appointments.

Meeting: If we are walking around photographing or location scouting I will let you know where I am and you can meet me, otherwise we can coordinate a mutually agreed upon area near the event location.

Length of session: You booked my services for a fixed amount of time; however, I am very efficient and (generally) flexible with time. I am willing to stay later or end sooner if you have to, so long as I feel we have a good amount of high-quality images, and I don’t have other appointments.

What to Wear: Your outfit(s) should be comfortable and reflect you or your brand. If you are sharing a session with someone, I do not recommend “twinning,” that’s wearing the same outfit; however, feel free to coordinate your attire. Click here to read a blog article I wrote about this topic.

Props: I will not bring props with me, but it’s fine if you want to. You should know that props can take attention away from you, so please be strategic in your prop selection. For example, if you want to take a photo of you on the phone or working at a laptop, that’s perfectly fine, just let me know.

Please be punctual and ready to start on time: It’s best to arrive early. If your session is in the morning or evening, we will be chasing the light. I may also have other appointments and I want to give them the same level of care I give you.

I cannot wait for our photography session! Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. See you soon.
